GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS/PARENTS/GUARDIANS
- Students are required to attend School in proper uniform. The student whose uniform does not confirm to the appropriate standard would not be allowed to attend school.
- The student Diary is to be carried to School Diary.
- Students who don not use the Schools Transport should reach the school 10 minutes before the first bell rings.
- Students are expected to maintain, decorum and discipline in the School at all times.
- Students are not allowed to bring money or any valuables to the school. The School will not bear any responsibility for the loss or damage of the same. Achild found carrying money or valuables will be liable for disciplinary action.
- The School reserves the right to suspend/expel the student whose conduct is harmful to other students or to the school. Three warnings will be given before such disciplinary action is taken.
- Girls with long hair should plait it or tie the hair tightly.Students are allowed to wear a watch from Std. V. onwards and simple ear-rings (in case of girls).No other ornaments or allowed. Nails are to be trimmed regularly and no nail polish or mehndi is allowed.
- Parents and students should be cautious not to make derogatoryremarks about the school or the teachers.
- Students are not allowed to receive or make phone calls during school hours. Principal’s permission is to be sought in case of any emergency.Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones, cameras, electronic gadgets, sharp objects etc. to the school.Such items will be confiscated and strict action will be taken against the erring students.
- Parents are advised not to send a sick child to the school.Children who have been suffering from communicable disease like Chickenpox, Measles,Conjunctivitis etc. would be allowed to attend a school only after producing a fitness certificate from the consulting doctor.
- Any change in the address and telephone numbers of the parents or guardians must be communicated promptly to the School authorities.
- Each student’s belongings including shoes are to be properly Marked for easy identification.Parents should ensure that I- card is worn by the child every day while going to school.
- Parents or to ensure that the person who picks up your child from the school or the bus stop carries the identity card.
Parent Teacher Meetings
Regular PTM, orientation, workshops and open house meetings are conducted from time to time. We welcome our parents' involvement in the interest of children.
School Clinic
The School Clinic is manned by a qualified doctor, and a nurse all through the School hours to provide immediate first aid. Periodical medical check ups of all students are conducted and records are maintained. Any major observation is communicated to the parents.
Counsellor
Guidance and Counselling is an integral part of the curriculum at Open Minds A Birla School. Therefore, we have highly qualified Counsellors and Special Educators for students who require help.
